Safeguarding

How we keep children safe at Ballaz and on this site, and how to raise a concern.

Last updated

If a child is in danger now

Call the police on 119, or an ambulance on 110. Then tell us.

Anyone can report suspected abuse of a child to the National Children's Registry on 1-888-PROTECT (1-888-776-8328). You do not need to tell us first.

Raising a concern with us

Our safeguarding lead is the Managing Director.

Raise any worry about a child's safety, or about how a member of staff behaves, by email at info@goballaz.com or on the Academy line, (876) 260-5886. Say it is about safeguarding and it goes to the Managing Director.

Urgent concerns go to the police first.

If your concern is about the Managing Director, contact the National Children's Registry or the police directly.

At sessions

Sessions are run by Ballaz coaches, with children grouped by age.

A child cannot be registered without an emergency contact, so we can reach someone quickly.

Staff

Everyone who works at Ballaz has a named role, such as coach, Admin Coordinator or Director of Football. Staff accounts are reviewed by Ballaz before they get any access, and each role sees only what it needs.

Coaches see the children in their own sessions and teams. Who can see health details and emergency contacts is set out in our privacy policy, and every staff view of them is logged.

On this site

A child cannot have an account. Every child belongs to a parent or guardian's account.

Messages sent in My Ballaz are kept.

A child's photograph appears on the site only with photo permission. The privacy policy explains how that works.
